Premier Tax Solutions is a growing accountancy business in Staffordshire. Here is what they had to say

Earlier this year, we took our business through Bessie, knowing that we were unsure of how our employees were really doing with their wellbeing, it was daunting. As a growing business, our workforce is so important to us and we want to make sure that we are doing everything we can to support them, as well as our customers.

Everything was explained well & clear and I know staff were able to speak about any of their fears privately with Nicky. The whole process has made us more aware of not only the inside pressures of work, but the outside stresses everyone is under and how that affects their work.

We have become increasingly aware we don’t need to feel guilty about taking time off and I am more conscious of looking after myself or at least trying to and encouraging my employees to do the same where possible

We now feel more assured by taking part in Bessie and have a clearer understanding of the risks to and from our business regarding wellbeing for the business and our workforce. It was great to discover also that things were much more positive than we thought they might be.

The recommendations in the report were easy to understand and evidence based in terms of the risks and we have already implemented some. Others are part of our longer term strategy and ongoing. We have been consciously much more aware and have been working with a HR specialist to start to make improvements.

I feel more confident that when we remeasure, things will have changed.

We have since now remeasured Premier Tax Solutions and identified a further 67k worth of savings and surmised that they have since their first roll out of BESSIE, increased profits, increased their number of employees, reduced risk of burnout, reduced workloads, given all employees a pay increase and are about to move premises in order to bring their two teams together.

We cannot wait to see what they do this next 2 years!
