The Lymestone Brewery was founded in 2008 by Ian Bradford who is known to everyone as Brad the Brewer. It is a family run micro brewery based in Stone Staffordshire. Brad has been in the brewing industry for over 30 years and is now training the next generation as working alongside him is his daughter Sarah.
Between them they have created a portfolio of traditional beers under the Lymestone name and Sarah has her own portfolio of recipes with a lager and pilsner under her pen name of Stray Cat Brewing.
Based in the old Bents Brewery (photo curtesy of the Frith Collection) this traditional manual brew house uses techniques both old and new to create Award winning cask, keg and bottled beers.
Brad began in the industry in 1991 when micro brewing was in its infancy, he has seen monumental changes in the 13 years he has been running Lymestone not least in the last 18months due to the pandemic.
