The Process
Funeral Celebrants can either be approached directly or they are recommended by a Funeral Director. If you decide you would like me to work with you, I will contact you to arrange a suitable time to meet . This can be done either at the family home, on zoom, or on the telephone . I am very aware that this is an extremely difficult time for relatives and I am respectful at all times of emotions that inevitably run high at this time. The meeting usually takes around an hour. It’s more of an informal chat really, during which I find out more about the person. I will also talk about the order of service and advise on the contents and what follows what.. You will inevitably have questions and I will make sure they are all answered and that everyone is clear at every stage. . I also have an extensive collection of poems, readings and song / music suggestions for families to look through, as well as Order of Service templates to give guidance.
Once I have all the information, I will create a draft service including a full eulogy if required and send a copy to the family to check. Once they are completely happy with everything, the order of service is submitted to the Printers. If changes are required for the eulogy, that can be done at any point up to the funeral. i am always just a phone call or text away.
