I have been a professional Actor for most of my life, working on an extensive range of theatre, film and television projects. I’m also a voice over artist, providing narrations for all sort of TV documentaries and programmes. Speaking and appearing in public are things that come very naturally to me and are skills that I have utilised in my training as a Funeral Celebrant.
After delivering the eulogy at my own mum’s funeral a few years ago and having attended services taken by Celebrants, I realised it was an area I was interested in pursuing. I felt that the skills i learnt from Acting combined with a genuine interest in people’s stories were strong starting points for a second career in Funeral Celebrancy.
Since training in 2020, I have taken a number of services both locally and further afield. It is, of course, a very difficult time for families and it’s my job to guide them through the process gently and with close support every step of the way. I am there to reflect the wishes of the family and to deliver a service that truly honours the life of the person being remembered.
I live in Lichfield, Staffordshire but am happy to travel throughout the UK.
I am fully trained in Civil Celebrancy and am a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants.
